AfricaRecruit was established in 2002 to engage African and International governments, Private and Public sector and Africans globally. AfricaRecruit works in close association with various organisations, alumni and professional groups in delivering of its objectives.

The programme has been adopted by NEPAD to address Human Resources capacity in Africa.AfricaRecruit/Findajobinafirca.com database has grown by approximately 11% over the last 2 months and consists of 36,302 CVs on the database; 902 African diaspora organisations globally located and a mailing list of 71,500; over 350 universities in and outside Africa and over 234 professional organisations. AfricaRecruit services include:

1. Building a robust database of African skills to determine what and where these skills are, in addition to identifying the constraints and challenges faced in re-directing the skills of the communities in the diaspora to Africa and areas of deficiency and gaps.

2. Establishing and working partnership with various African communities and Diaspora Groups to enable effective engagement with African governments and international organisations.

3. Establishing a policy group of companies to draw on private sector expertise and experience, and produce research and policy recommendations. The Group works with African and Internationalgovernments to improve the regulatory environment and address the complex social and economic issues involved in meeting the human resource challenges facing African employers in creating jobs and developing the economy.

4. Research to inform the developmental and investment potential of remittances and policy by both African and international governments.
